Job Description:
To develop and coordinate all technical information between CSD (Project
Managers, Engineers, etc) and the project team (Owner, GC, Architect,
EC, etc). This communication usually takes the form of reports, drawings
or even simple e-mails. The engineering department commonly specifies
conduit requirements, technical power requirements, equipment locations,
aiming data, acoustic recommendations, hardware or installation details
(subwoofer bunker, theatrical lighting connector strip, custom plate
layout, etc), system riser (flowchart) and acoustic coverage maps.
Accomplishments (Job Related):
Barry started his technical career as a commercial security, fire and
environmental system designer.
With this early experience and continuing through to his current position
as Director of Engineering, he has been blessed to work closely with
owners, architects, general contractors, project managers and electricians.
Through these relationships, he is aware of the information that each
division needs to successfully deliver a completed project that everyone
can be proud of.
His background in system design and integration plus many of hours in
continuing education (NSCA, NAMM, Jack Miller, NACDB, DDBC, etc.) have
been extremely useful as the clients need of technology for audio, video
and theatrical lighting systems continue to increase.
Barry holds a degree in computer science from Purdue University and
is also a proficient AutoCAD 2005 draftsman, EASE 4.0 acoustic modeling
software operator, qualified TEF user and DDBC Modeler/auditioner designer.

Strange Fact/Personal Quirk about you:
Barry is credited as a performer on the Christian music album "music
Words eternity". He spent many long days and nights perfecting the inaudible
handclap that can almost be heard on almost every song.
